Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Textile & Leather sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.17%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR), which rose 5.22% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.410 at the close. Meanwhile, Zorlu Enerji (IS:ZOREN) added 3.54% or 0.040 points to end at 1.170 and Aselsan (IS:ASELS) was up 2.71% or 0.37 points to 14.02 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gsd Holding (IS:GSDHO), which fell 4.69% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.610 at the close. Vestel Beyaz Esya (IS:VESBE) declined 3.27% or 0.460 points to end at 13.590 and Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) was down 2.97% or 0.270 points to 8.830.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 245 to 110 and 52 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.82% or 9.95 to $1230.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.87% or 0.47 to hit $53.36 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.14% or 0.65 to trade at $56.16 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.21% to 3.6886, while EUR/TRY fell 0.61% to 3.9624.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 100.04.
