Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Sports, Textile & Leather and Real Estate Investments sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which rose 4.67% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.570 at the close. Meanwhile, Afyon Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:AFYON) added 2.87% or 0.25 points to end at 8.97 and Bizim Toptan Satis Magazalari AS (IS:BIZIM) was up 2.49% or 0.28 points to 11.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS), which fell 5.06% or 0.67 points to trade at 12.56 at the close. Izmir Demir Celik Sanayi AS (IS:IZMDC) declined 3.27% or 0.110 points to end at 3.250 and Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) was down 2.90% or 0.92 points to 30.78.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 223 to 116 and 69 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.69% or 8.80 to $1263.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.61% or 0.78 to hit $49.10 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.22% or 0.62 to trade at $51.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.04% to 3.5294, while EUR/TRY fell 0.19% to 3.9602.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 97.14.
