Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Banking and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 2.25%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL), which rose 6.94% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.770 at the close. Meanwhile, Tav Havalimanlari (IS:TAVHL) added 6.39% or 0.69 points to end at 11.49 and Turk Hava Yollari (IS:THYAO) was up 6.02% or 0.310 points to 5.460 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestel (IS:VESTL), which fell 3.51% or 0.270 points to trade at 7.430 at the close. Otokar (IS:OTKAR) declined 0.59% or 0.60 points to end at 100.90 and Arcelik (IS:ARCLK) was down 0.56% or 0.12 points to 21.16.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 319 to 42 and 44 ended unchanged.

Gold for December delivery was down 0.20% or 2.75 to $1341.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 2.92% or 1.22 to hit $43.02 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 2.48% or 1.10 to trade at $45.37 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.47% to 2.9863, while EUR/TRY fell 0.51% to 3.3092.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 96.36.
