Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Metal Products & Machinery and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.47% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yazicilar Holding (IS:YAZIC), which rose 4.97% or 0.82 points to trade at 17.32 at the close. Meanwhile, Ford Otosan (IS:FROTO) added 4.30% or 1.58 points to end at 38.30 and KOC Holding (IS:KCHOL) was up 3.95% or 0.60 points to 15.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME), which fell 2.27% or 0.050 points to trade at 2.150 at the close. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret D (IS:KRDMD) declined 1.68% or 0.020 points to end at 1.170 and Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) was down 1.32% or 0.38 points to 28.46.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 233 to 100 and 71 ended unchanged.
Shares in Yazicilar Holding (IS:YAZIC) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.97% or 0.82 to 17.32. Shares in KOC Holding (IS:KCHOL) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.95% or 0.60 to 15.80.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.16% or 1.95 to $1228.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.21% or 0.11 to hit $53.22 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.05% or 0.03 to trade at $55.93 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.12% to 3.7092, while EUR/TRY fell 0.10% to 3.9320.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 101.53.
