Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tav Havalimanlari (IS:TAVHL), which rose 3.00% or 0.45 points to trade at 15.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Gozde Girisim (IS:GOZDE) added 3.00% or 0.080 points to end at 2.750 and Coca Cola Icecek (IS:CCOLA) was up 2.95% or 1.04 points to 36.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Good-Year (IS:GOODY), which fell 6.10% or 6.90 points to trade at 106.30 at the close. Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) declined 3.92% or 0.58 points to end at 14.22 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) was down 2.50% or 0.030 points to 1.170.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 202 to 131 and 78 ended unchanged.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.76% or 9.20 to $1207.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.59% or 0.29 to hit $49.62 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.72% or 0.36 to trade at $50.31 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.16% to 2.9551, while EUR/TRY rose 0.07% to 3.2925.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 95.72.
