Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Metal Products & Machinery, Technology and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO), which rose 7.26% or 3.80 points to trade at 56.15 at the close. Meanwhile, ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) added 5.76% or 0.080 points to end at 1.470 and Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO) was up 5.32% or 0.160 points to 3.170 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which fell 2.23% or 0.100 points to trade at 4.390 at the close. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) declined 2.16% or 0.050 points to end at 2.270 and TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) was down 1.97% or 0.48 points to 23.88.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 188 to 149 and 71 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.14% or 1.80 to $1290.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.38% or 0.20 to hit $52.16 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.28% or 0.17 to trade at $61.27 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.18% to 5.4082, while EUR/TRY fell 1.33% to 6.2309.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 94.988.
