Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.58%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were REN (LISBON:RENE), which rose 2.31% or 0.0640 points to trade at 2.8340 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP (LISBON:EDP) added 1.82% or 0.0630 points to end at 3.5290 and Teixeira Duarte (LISBON:TDSA) was up 1.36% or 0.0090 points to 0.6690 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA), which fell 3.92% or 0.1175 points to trade at 2.8795 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LISBON:GALP) declined 3.77% or 0.4550 points to end at 11.6150 and Portugal Telecom (LISBON:PTC) was down 3.16% or 0.0175 points to 0.5365.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 36 to 29 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Portugal Telecom (LISBON:PTC) fell to all time lows; falling 3.16% or 0.0175 to 0.5365.
Brent oil for June delivery was down 2.03% or 1.38 to $66.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.25% or 1.37 to hit $59.56 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.62% or 7.40 to trade at $1182.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.66% to 1.1276, while EUR/GBP fell 0.47% to 0.7407.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.59% at 94.75.
