Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Financials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which rose 2.84% or 0.3600 points to trade at 13.0150 at the close. Meanwhile, Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) added 1.24% or 0.150 points to end at 12.250 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 1.02% or 0.0300 points to 2.9580 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which fell 1.24% or 0.140 points to trade at 11.140 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 0.99% or 0.0300 points to end at 3.0000 and F.Rama (LS:RAMA) was down 0.98% or 0.100 points to 10.100.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 15 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.46% or 0.33 to $72.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.12% or 0.08 to hit $67.15 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.98% or 12.20 to trade at $1227.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.44% to 1.1659, while EUR/GBP rose 0.28% to 0.8873.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.49% at 94.73.
