Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Property and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM), which rose 2.99% or 0.340 points to trade at 11.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Phi Long Dis T (PS:TEL) added 0.83% or 24.00 points to end at 2928.00 and Dmci Holdings (PS:DMC) was up 0.68% or 0.100 points to 14.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Globe Telecom (PS:GLO), which fell 3.88% or 90.000 points to trade at 2230.000 at the close. Sm Prime Hldgs (PS:SMPH) declined 3.72% or 0.750 points to end at 19.400 and Gt Capital Hol (PS:GTCAP) was down 3.28% or 44.000 points to 1296.000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 116 to 80 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold for June delivery was down 0.27% or 3.30 to $1199.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.90% or 0.52 to hit $56.48 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.82% or 0.53 to trade at $64.30 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.19% to 7.1312, while USD/PHP fell 0.01% to 44.260.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 97.06.
