Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Petron Corp (PS:PCOR), which rose 2.69% or 0.280 points to trade at 10.680 at the close. Meanwhile, Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) added 1.50% or 3.00 points to end at 203.00 and Manila Electric Co (PS:MER) was up 1.38% or 3.80 points to 278.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN), which fell 1.30% or 0.26 points to trade at 19.68 at the close. LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) declined 0.85% or 0.140 points to end at 16.240 and Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) was down 0.63% or 1.00 points to 158.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 107 to 73 and 59 ended unchanged.
Shares in First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.30% or 0.26 to 19.68.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.31% or 3.89 to $1248.91 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.30% or 0.64 to hit $49.99 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.24% or 0.65 to trade at $53.16 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.04% to 7.2286, while USD/PHP rose 0.02% to 49.806.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 97.46.
