Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.98%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 7.62% or 1.3 points to trade at 17.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 1.19% or 3.9 points to end at 332.8 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was up 0.82% or 0.45 points to 55.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which fell 7.14% or 2.01 points to trade at 26.16 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 5.31% or 12.50 points to end at 223.00 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) was down 4.87% or 7.40 points to 153.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 102 to 78 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) rose to 5-year highs; up 0.82% or 0.45 to 55.20.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.28% or 0.15 to $53.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.34% or 0.19 to hit $55.78 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 6.45 to trade at $1231.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.48% to 8.8399, while USD/NOK fell 0.63% to 8.3438.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 101.12.
