Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA), which rose 4.65% or 3.30 points to trade at 72.68 at the close. Meanwhile, Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) added 3.81% or 3.3 points to end at 89.9 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) was up 2.94% or 8.3 points to 290.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo), which fell 3.64% or 24.0 points to trade at 635.0 at the close. Marine Harvest ASA (OSLO:MHG) declined 2.18% or 2.10 points to end at 94.30 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) was down 2.03% or 0.88 points to 42.44.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 97 to 78 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 3.16% or 1.64 to $53.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.95% or 1.15 to hit $60.19 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.58% or 6.90 to trade at $1192.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.97% to 8.4685, while USD/NOK fell 1.95% to 7.9416.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.82% at 98.92.
