Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Media, Utilities and Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE), which rose 2.78% or 1.9 points to trade at 68.5 at the close. Meanwhile, TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OSLO:TGS) added 2.43% or 4.5 points to end at 190.0 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OSLO:GJFS) was up 1.87% or 2.5 points to 136.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO), which fell 3.36% or 0.48 points to trade at 13.79 at the close. Schibsted ASA (OSLO:SBST) declined 2.24% or 11.0 points to end at 479.4 and Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC) was down 2.08% or 0.05 points to 2.16.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 88 to 83 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.42% or 0.24 to $57.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.24% or 0.15 to hit $65.12 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 2.28% or 26.80 to trade at $1201.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.73% to 8.3895, while USD/NOK fell 0.94% to 7.7016.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 96.86.
