Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Commercial Service And Supplies, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which rose 3.75% or 0.28 points to trade at 7.62 at the close. Meanwhile, Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 3.65% or 12.5 points to end at 354.9 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 2.62% or 3.70 points to 144.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 5.85% or 0.44 points to trade at 7.00 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 2.04% or 4.8 points to end at 230.8 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was down 0.88% or 0.45 points to 50.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 100 to 54 and 38 ended unchanged.
Shares in Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.04% or 4.8 to 230.8.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.45% or 0.24 to $53.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.64% or 0.36 to hit $55.87 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 2.05 to trade at $1276.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.08% to 9.1104, while USD/NOK fell 0.11% to 8.5871.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 100.58.
