Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Commercial Service And Supplies, Energy and Auto & components sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT), which rose 6.77% or 2.10 points to trade at 33.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Statoil ASA (OSLO:STL) added 1.81% or 2.6 points to end at 146.0 and Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC) was up 1.71% or 0.03 points to 1.84 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Schibsted ASA A (OSLO:SBSTA), which fell 1.65% or 4.2 points to trade at 250.3 at the close. Storebrand ASA (OSLO:STB) declined 1.46% or 0.48 points to end at 32.43 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) was down 1.35% or 0.60 points to 43.89.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 92 to 83 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.33% or 0.81 to $60.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.61% or 1.03 to hit $63.41 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.32% or 3.80 to trade at $1172.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.79% to 8.8069, while USD/NOK rose 0.66% to 7.8773.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 95.66.
