Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Communication, Banking and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which rose 4.96% or 510 points to trade at 10800 at the close. Meanwhile, Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) added 2.36% or 3.8 points to end at 164.5 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was up 2.19% or 460 points to 21450 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TA:BIG), which fell 2.99% or 820 points to trade at 26650 at the close. Nice Ltd (TA:NICE) declined 2.83% or 800 points to end at 27500 and Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) was down 1.79% or 340.0 points to 18620.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 200 to 184 and 117 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.36% or 3.8 to 164.5.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.59% or 0.27 to $45.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.79% or 0.38 to hit $48.24 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.79% or 10.05 to trade at $1269.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.09% to 3.5314, while EUR/ILS fell 0.06% to 3.9522.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 97.24.
