Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Communication and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp), which rose 3.21% or 51 points to trade at 1640 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) added 3.14% or 940 points to end at 30860 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) was up 2.50% or 7.2 points to 295.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Osem (TA:OSEM), which fell 1.52% or 124 points to trade at 8047 at the close. Discount (TA:DSCT) declined 1.40% or 9.5 points to end at 667.0 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was down 1.27% or 190.00 points to 14740.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 188 to 162 and 107 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.14% or 940 to 30860.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 3.57% or 1.90 to $55.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 2.27% or 1.35 to hit $61.16 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.23% or 2.70 to trade at $1195.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.21% to 3.9703, while EUR/ILS fell 0.20% to 4.2126.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 99.18.
