Someone please explain to me the meaning of inflation and the impact of FED interest rates on the markets. Data are expected again and again, but at least this year, if we look at them, we see that inflation increased by 0.4% in the first 4 months, which should be bad for the economy, but on the other hand, all stock indices grew even more. Expectations of FED interest rates were to cut at least 4 times this year, which turned out to be definitely not going to happen, each time the interest rate remains the same, and there are no candidates for a reduction, which would excite investors, while at the same time, indexes and stocks keep growing. Yes, it is a matter of minor movements in one direction when transmitting data, but the very next day we are back to the old way. Then why is such importance given to these data, when in fact nothing new happens in the markets. Markets are only moved by insider information about companies and their challenges, and even here, markets often do not react as they should. Is there anything more that needs to be said? I hope you understand. Or explain to me some other meaning. At the moment, for example, inflation is expected to be 3.4% on an annual basis. Which is 0.1% points less than a month ago, but still 1.4% higher than the target. If it reaches 3.4%, you as investors will be excited and you will send the markets sky high, even though we are still far from the goal. This is how it works, reality is not important, only expectations are important, which analysts can adjust so that everything seems to be ok. It is similar to having excruciating pain in, say, your hand. Of course, you take an aspirin to make the pain go away for a while, and you're happy. But the pain returns in an even stronger form. Now you just take two aspirin to make the pain go away and you do that until you end up on morphine and in the end, because it is no longer sustainable, you take your own life instead of facing the cause and eliminating it.

To me, inflation is more of a multi-dimensional vector, instead of single scaler number.

Inflation in large part is fueled by deficit spending. That is one of the arguments made by Trump supporters that he should get our vote. The question I would like to know is do we have a reason to believe that the Trump administration would be anymore responsible then the Democrat administration?
