Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , Semiconductor and Electronic Parts/Components sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted declined 0.58% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Adimmune Corp (TW:4142), which rose 8.01% or 1.95 points to trade at 26.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Sincere Navigation Corp (TW:2605) added 6.54% or 1.00 points to end at 16.30 and Lemtech Holdings Co Ltd (TW:4912) was up 5.38% or 9.50 points to 186.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shunsin Technology Holdings Ltd (TW:6451), which fell 10.00% or 8.50 points to trade at 76.50 at the close. Cub Elecparts Inc (TW:2231) declined 9.62% or 20.00 points to end at 188.00 and Formosa Sumco Technology Corp (TW:3532) was down 9.23% or 12.00 points to 118.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 477 to 331 and 103 ended unchanged.
Shares in Adimmune Corp (TW:4142) rose to 52-week highs; up 8.01% or 1.95 to 26.30. Shares in Shunsin Technology Holdings Ltd (TW:6451) fell to all time lows; falling 10.00% or 8.50 to 76.50. Shares in Cub Elecparts Inc (TW:2231) fell to 3-years lows; falling 9.62% or 20.00 to 188.00.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.67% or 0.50 to $73.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.81% or 0.68 to hit $83.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 5.60 to trade at $1200.00 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.10% to 30.960, while TWD/CNY rose 0.27% to 0.2232.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 95.47.
