Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , Textile and Rubber sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted fell 0.45% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Enterex International Ltd (TW:1592), which rose 9.89% or 3.05 points to trade at 33.90 at the close. Meanwhile, AOPEN Inc (TW:3046) added 9.89% or 0.44 points to end at 4.89 and Central Reinsurance Corp (TW:2851) was up 9.87% or 1.55 points to 17.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Li Cheng Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:4426), which fell 9.98% or 5.50 points to trade at 49.60 at the close. Ace Pillar Co Ltd (TW:8374) declined 9.96% or 3.70 points to end at 33.45 and Green Seal Holding Ltd (TW:1262) was down 9.93% or 7.20 points to 65.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 571 to 225 and 81 ended unchanged.
Shares in Li Cheng Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:4426) fell to 52-week lows; losing 9.98% or 5.50 to 49.60. Shares in Central Reinsurance Corp (TW:2851) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.87% or 1.55 to 17.25. Shares in Green Seal Holding Ltd (TW:1262) fell to all time lows; down 9.93% or 7.20 to 65.30.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $56.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $63.49 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.86 to trade at $1277.06 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.00% to 30.172, while TWD/CNY fell 0.41% to 0.2196.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 94.43.
