Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.96%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa), which rose 1.43% or 1.6 points to trade at 113.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) added 0.99% or 0.85 points to end at 86.95 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) was up 0.77% or 3.50 points to 459.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb), which fell 3.66% or 5.3 points to trade at 139.6 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 3.23% or 4.30 points to end at 128.80 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) was down 2.53% or 5.2 points to 200.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 344 to 189 and 56 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.70% or 0.65 to $37.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.34% or 0.96 to hit $40.11 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.93% or 11.70 to trade at $1269.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.52% to 9.3379, while USD/SEK fell 0.87% to 8.3735.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.87% at 96.34.
