Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.50%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb), which rose 2.68% or 4.3 points to trade at 165.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 2.63% or 6.4 points to end at 250.2 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) was up 2.49% or 2.70 points to 111.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which fell 0.14% or 0.2 points to trade at 146.9 at the close. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) declined 0.05% or 0.1 points to end at 190.3 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was up 0.07% or 0.10 points to 136.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 348 to 84 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.17% or 0.09 to $52.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.24% or 0.14 to hit $58.86 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1157.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.75% to 9.3338, while USD/SEK rose 0.49% to 8.4683.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.92% at 96.84.
