Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 4.51% or 2.01 points to trade at 46.57 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) added 3.15% or 2.50 points to end at 81.75 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) was up 2.31% or 1.80 points to 79.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which fell 7.22% or 5.70 points to trade at 73.20 at the close. Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) declined 1.12% or 2.9 points to end at 255.0 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was down 1.01% or 0.30 points to 29.45.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 341 to 231 and 46 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.49% or 0.24 to $48.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.03% or 0.50 to hit $49.11 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.55% or 6.75 to trade at $1222.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.02% to 9.2616, while USD/SEK fell 0.15% to 8.3016.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 95.44.
