Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Information Technology, Telecoms and Power & Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share added 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Lake House Printers and Publishers PLC (CM:LPRT) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 134.50 and Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE) was up 12.50% or 0.100 points to 0.900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Office Equipment PLC (CM:OFEQ), which fell 15.66% or 10.40 points to trade at 56.00 at the close. Huejay International Investments PLC (CM:HUEJ) declined 13.64% or 6.00 points to end at 38.00 and Radiant Gems International PLC (CM:RGEM) was down 12.99% or 3.00 points to 20.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 86 to 70 and 59 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.95% or 0.65 to $67.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.76% or 0.57 to hit $74.12 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.77% or 10.10 to trade at $1309.10 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.46% to 216.005, while USD/LKR unchanged 0.00% to 157.810.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 92.03.
