Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Industrial Investment and Hotels & Tourism sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Printing & Packaging Company (SE:4270), which rose 10.00% or 1.85 points to trade at 20.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) added 9.91% or 3.20 points to end at 35.50 and Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SE:4210) was up 6.27% or 2.00 points to 33.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aljazira Takaful Taawuni Company (SE:8012), which fell 2.38% or 0.70 points to trade at 28.70 at the close. Qassim Agriculture Co. (SE:6020) declined 2.12% or 0.20 points to end at 9.25 and The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) was down 1.84% or 0.50 points to 26.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 101 to 42 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.91% or 3.20 to 35.50.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.48% or 0.25 to $52.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.48% or 0.26 to hit $54.20 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.13% or 1.45 to trade at $1131.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.18% to 3.9180, while USD/SAR fell 0.02% to 3.7511.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 102.96.
