Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 1.29%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Edegel (LM:EDE), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to trade at 3.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to end at 25.700 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 0.220 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:PML), which fell 7.69% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.120 at the close. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 4.55% or 0.040 points to end at 0.840 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) was down 3.80% or 0.190 points to 4.810.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 23 to 2 and 8 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.24% or 1.33 to $58.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $63.93 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.42% or 17.10 to trade at $1187.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.16% to 3.1495, while EUR/PEN fell 0.43% to 3.4373.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.96% at 97.39.
