Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 1.12%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Bco Continenta (LM:CON), which rose 0.75% or 0.030 points to trade at 4.030 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferreyros (LM:FER) added 0.60% or 0.010 points to end at 1.670 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 0.590 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unacem (LM:CEL), which fell 4.23% or 0.110 points to trade at 2.490 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 3.81% or 0.180 points to end at 4.550 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was down 2.35% or 0.260 points to 10.800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 15 to 3 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.06% or 0.52 to $48.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $50.07 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.83% or 10.60 to trade at $1286.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3265, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7532.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 94.42.
