Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Banking & Financials and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 1.02% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Unacem (LM:CEL), which rose 5.31% or 0.110 points to trade at 2.180 at the close. Meanwhile, Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) added 3.03% or 0.005 points to end at 0.170 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was up 2.27% or 0.005 points to 0.225 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which fell 9.72% or 0.140 points to trade at 1.300 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 5.50% or 0.100 points to end at 1.720 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was down 5.05% or 0.050 points to 0.940.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 22 to 6 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.68% or 0.36 to $52.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.64% or 0.36 to hit $55.65 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.80% or 9.85 to trade at $1215.65 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.49% to 3.2800, while EUR/PEN rose 0.12% to 3.4834.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 101.80.
