Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Mining, Services and Electricity sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.95%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi), which rose 11.11% or 0.029 points to trade at 0.290 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferreyros (LM:FER) added 3.85% or 0.050 points to end at 1.350 and Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) was up 2.68% or 0.110 points to 4.210 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which fell 5.41% or 0.400 points to trade at 7.000 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 4.41% or 0.006 points to end at 0.130 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) was down 4.26% or 1.20 points to 27.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 17 to 8 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.07% or 0.03 to $45.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $48.60 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1145.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2835, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.5923.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 97.36.
