Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Non-Metal Minerals and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minsur (LM:MINi), which rose 3.70% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.400 at the close. Meanwhile, Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) added 3.16% or 0.88 points to end at 28.73 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) was up 2.97% or 0.520 points to 18.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which fell 2.96% or 0.370 points to trade at 12.150 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 2.54% or 0.006 points to end at 0.230 and Unacem (LM:CEL) was down 1.89% or 0.050 points to 2.600.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 13 to 12 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Minsur (LM:MINi) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.70% or 0.050 to 1.400.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.09% or 0.04 to $44.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.33% or 0.15 to hit $46.00 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.25% or 3.25 to trade at $1276.15 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.47% to 3.3555, while EUR/PEN fell 0.25% to 3.7424.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 97.92.
