Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General fell 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Milpo (LM:MIL), which rose 2.10% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.940 at the close. Meanwhile, Panoro (LM:PML) added 1.60% or 0.003 points to end at 0.190 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was up 1.45% or 0.020 points to 1.400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sider (LM:SID), which fell 5.88% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.160 at the close. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 4.60% or 0.040 points to end at 0.830 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) was down 3.89% or 0.850 points to 21.000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 8 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sider (LM:SID) fell to all time lows; down 5.88% or 0.010 to 0.160.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 3.48% or 1.81 to $53.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.70% or 0.99 to hit $59.11 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.75% or 9.20 to trade at $1209.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.39% to 3.1005, while EUR/PEN rose 0.16% to 3.3563.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.04% at 98.22.
