Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Unacem (LM:CEL), which rose 2.83% or 0.070 points to trade at 2.540 at the close. Meanwhile, Credicorp (LM:BAP) added 1.67% or 2.70 points to end at 164.30 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was up 1.35% or 0.100 points to 7.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which fell 5.33% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.160 at the close. Minera Irl (LM:IRL) unchanged 2.73% or 0.00 points to end at 0.11 and Bolsa de Valores de Lima SAA (LM:BVL) was down 2.65% or 0.090 points to 3.300.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 10 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.77% or 0.37 to $47.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $50.53 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.36% or 4.55 to trade at $1245.15 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2480, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.5048.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 99.56.
