Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.28% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 7.00% or 0.360 points to trade at 5.500 at the close. Meanwhile, Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) added 5.53% or 0.021 points to end at 0.401 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 2.94% or 0.020 points to 0.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Minsur (LM:MINi), which fell 2.54% or 0.030 points to trade at 1.150 at the close. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 2.04% or 0.004 points to end at 0.192 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) was down 1.92% or 0.490 points to 25.500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 19 to 7 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Minsur (LM:MINi) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.54% or 0.030 to 1.150.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.62% or 1.55 to $60.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.33% or 1.53 to hit $67.37 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.79% or 9.30 to trade at $1192.30 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.04% to 3.1528, while EUR/PEN rose 1.16% to 3.5477.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.43% at 94.70.
