Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Inretail Peru (LM:INR), which rose 1.97% or 0.350 points to trade at 18.150 at the close. Meanwhile, Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 1.72% or 0.100 points to end at 5.900 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was up 1.56% or 0.004 points to 0.260 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Minsur (LM:MINi), which fell 2.34% or 0.030 points to trade at 1.250 at the close. Inversiones Centenario SAA (LM:ICE) declined 1.79% or 0.100 points to end at 5.500 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was down 1.72% or 0.010 points to 0.570.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 12 to 10 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.72% or 0.100 to 5.900.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.28% or 0.12 to $43.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.09% or 0.04 to hit $46.37 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.65% or 8.65 to trade at $1317.45 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3855, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8099.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 95.28.
