Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Industrials and Electricity sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Sider (LM:SID), which rose 5.26% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.400 at the close. Meanwhile, Relapasa (LM:REL) added 3.12% or 0.008 points to end at 0.264 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) was up 0.88% or 1.300 points to 148.300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which fell 0.86% or 0.050 points to trade at 5.740 at the close. Inretail Peru (LM:INR) declined 0.81% or 0.150 points to end at 18.400 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was down 0.39% or 0.030 points to 7.600.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 10 to 4 and 13 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.73% or 1.36 to $51.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $52.91 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.73% or 9.10 to trade at $1261.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.4049, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8011.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.40% at 96.91.
