Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 1.53% to hit a new 3-years high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which rose 6.90% or 0.0080 points to trade at 0.1240 at the close. Meanwhile, PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) unchanged 4.48% or 0.00 points to end at 0.07 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was up 3.23% or 0.010 points to 0.320 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bolsa de Valores de Lima SAA (LM:BVL), which fell 2.82% or 0.100 points to trade at 3.450 at the close. Casa Grande (LM:CSG) declined 1.45% or 0.090 points to end at 6.100 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) was down 1.23% or 0.100 points to 8.050.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 25 to 5 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.08% or 0.05 to $60.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.46% or 0.31 to hit $66.56 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.75% or 9.80 to trade at $1319.10 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.18% to 3.2318, while EUR/PEN rose 0.39% to 3.9009.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 91.57.
