Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Construction & Building Materials and Forestry & Paper sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Sonasid (CS:SOND), which rose 9.98% or 32 points to trade at 357 at the close. Meanwhile, M2M Group (CS:M2M) added 9.90% or 31.00 points to end at 344.00 and Risma (CS:RIS) was up 9.09% or 10.00 points to 120.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Taslif (CS:TSF1), which fell 5.97% or 1.97 points to trade at 31.03 at the close. Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) declined 5.85% or 31 points to end at 499 and Colorado (CS:COL) was down 3.88% or 1.98 points to 49.02.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 21 to 16 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in M2M Group (CS:M2M) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 9.90% or 31.00 to 344.00. Shares in Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) fell to 5-year lows; losing 5.85% or 31 to 499.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 4.61% or 2.28 to $51.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 4.94% or 2.56 to hit $54.40 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.36% or 4.20 to trade at $1169.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.38% to 10.7060, while USD/MAD fell 0.03% to 10.0665.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.42% at 101.20.
