Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Chemicals and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT), which rose 3.69% or 57 points to trade at 1600 at the close. Meanwhile, Label Vie (CS:LBV) added 2.99% or 40 points to end at 1380 and IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) was up 2.88% or 3.00 points to 107.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM), which fell 7.70% or 14.70 points to trade at 176.25 at the close. Sothema (CS:SOT) declined 5.99% or 80 points to end at 1255 and Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) was down 5.98% or 8.25 points to 129.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 22 to 20 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.69% or 57 to 1600.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.24% or 0.13 to $53.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.12% or 0.07 to hit $56.08 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.59% or 7.25 to trade at $1218.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.07% to 10.6840, while USD/MAD rose 0.02% to 10.1031.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 101.70.
