Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Construction & Building Materials and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were BCP (CS:BCP), which rose 2.88% or 7.85 points to trade at 280.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) added 2.60% or 1.07 points to end at 42.20 and Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) was up 2.34% or 3.40 points to 148.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Afriquia Gaz (CS:AGAZ1), which fell 5.84% or 165 points to trade at 2660 at the close. LafargeHolcim Maroc (CS:LHM) declined 3.55% or 74 points to end at 2008 and Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL) was down 2.99% or 1.75 points to 56.85.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 16 to 11 and 13 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.08% or 0.51 to $47.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.69% or 0.34 to hit $49.81 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.07% or 13.73 to trade at $1296.43 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.06% to 10.9590, while USD/MAD fell 0.08% to 9.7236.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 96.55.
