Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Forestry & Paper and Holding Companies sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM), which rose 5.99% or 10.00 points to trade at 177.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI) added 5.00% or 100 points to end at 2100 and Aluminum du Maroc SA (CS:ALU) was up 4.59% or 45 points to 1025 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Timar (CS:TIM), which fell 5.98% or 17.95 points to trade at 282.05 at the close. Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) declined 5.94% or 2.79 points to end at 44.21 and Risma (CS:RIS) was down 5.23% or 5.65 points to 102.35.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 24 to 19 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Timar (CS:TIM) fell to 5-year lows; losing 5.98% or 17.95 to 282.05.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.52% or 1.11 to $45.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.94% or 0.89 to hit $46.77 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.88% or 11.65 to trade at $1329.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.13% to 10.8980, while USD/MAD fell 0.02% to 9.7562.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 95.83.
