Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Insurance and Construction & Building Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 2.21% to hit a new 3-years high.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM), which rose 5.99% or 10.90 points to trade at 192.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Oulmes (CS:OULM) added 5.86% or 75 points to end at 1355 and Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG) was up 5.79% or 5.80 points to 106.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Med Paper (CS:PAP), which fell 1.45% or 0.29 points to trade at 19.70 at the close. Disway SA (CS:DWY) declined 1.10% or 4.00 points to end at 360.00 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was down 0.90% or 4 points to 401.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 47 to 7 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Oulmes (CS:OULM) rose to all time highs; rising 5.86% or 75 to 1355. Shares in Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.79% or 5.80 to 106.00.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.98% or 1.01 to $51.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.09% or 1.13 to hit $55.15 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.85% or 9.60 to trade at $1139.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.10% to 10.6100, while USD/MAD fell 0.35% to 10.1445.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.38% at 102.76.
