Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Materials, Healthcare and Financial Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC added 1.10%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which rose 7.80% or 31.520 points to trade at 435.520 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) added 3.93% or 1.630 points to end at 43.090 and Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) was up 3.71% or 0.670 points to 18.740 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB), which fell 1.69% or 0.69 points to trade at 40.12 at the close. Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) declined 1.16% or 0.380 points to end at 32.510 and America Movil L , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AMXL) was down 0.88% or 0.100 points to 11.220.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 113 to 57 and 4 ended unchanged.

Gold for August delivery was down 0.13% or 1.75 to $1325.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 3.17% or 1.58 to hit $48.30 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 3.16% or 1.62 to trade at $49.70 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 1.19% to 18.2666, while EUR/MXN fell 1.39% to 20.2788.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.30% at 95.98.
