Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms Services, Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC rose 0.30% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO), which rose 2.99% or 0.360 points to trade at 12.420 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico (MX:SANMEXB) added 2.91% or 0.980 points to end at 34.710 and America Movil L , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AMXL) was up 2.35% or 0.270 points to 11.770 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA), which fell 1.46% or 0.480 points to trade at 32.440 at the close. Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) declined 1.45% or 0.650 points to end at 44.090 and Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) was down 1.33% or 3.770 points to 279.390.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 87 to 85 and 4 ended unchanged.

Gold for August delivery was up 1.43% or 17.85 to $1264.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 2.32% or 1.17 to hit $51.53 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 2.47% or 1.27 to trade at $52.71 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 1.38% to 18.1044, while EUR/MXN fell 1.10% to 20.6295.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 93.59.
