Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals, Technology and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.63% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Atlantia (MI:ATL), which rose 5.68% or 1.04 points to trade at 19.34 at the close. Meanwhile, CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) added 1.15% or 0.115 points to end at 10.120 and Mediaset SpA (MI:MS) was up 0.95% or 0.025 points to 2.656 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI), which fell 3.53% or 0.1150 points to trade at 3.1470 at the close. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) declined 3.33% or 0.1520 points to end at 4.4060 and Banco Bpm SpA (MI:BAMI) was down 2.95% or 0.062 points to 2.037.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 230 to 104 and 29 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.41% or 0.27 to $65.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.34% or 0.24 to hit $71.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1185.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.30% to 1.1412, while EUR/GBP rose 0.17% to 0.8962.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 96.15.
