Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Utilities and Retail sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 1.24%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Reds (AT:CAMr), which rose 9.94% or 0.034 points to trade at 0.376 at the close. Meanwhile, Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) added 8.57% or 0.030 points to end at 0.380 and A.S. Company (AT:ASCr) was up 7.49% or 0.025 points to 0.359 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Euro Reliance (AT:EREr), which fell 11.90% or 0.25 points to trade at 1.85 at the close. Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr) declined 9.82% or 0.0490 points to end at 0.4500 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) was down 5.43% or 0.1400 points to 2.4500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 43 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold for June delivery was down 0.08% or 0.95 to $1222.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.30% or 0.15 to hit $49.41 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.44% or 0.22 to trade at $49.52 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.22% to 1.1178, while EUR/GBP rose 0.38% to 0.7620.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 95.22.
