Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Media, Chemicals and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 0.81% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH), which rose 5.86% or 0.130 points to trade at 2.350 at the close. Meanwhile, Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr) added 5.45% or 0.300 points to end at 5.800 and Iaso (AT:IASr) was up 4.70% or 0.039 points to 0.869 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jumbo SA (AT:BABr), which fell 3.97% or 0.635 points to trade at 15.365 at the close. Sarantiseg (AT:SRSr) declined 2.44% or 0.30 points to end at 12.00 and Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) was down 2.24% or 0.18 points to 7.86.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 78 to 23 and 13 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.25% or 3.11 to $1257.71 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.36% or 0.16 to hit $44.62 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.58% or 0.27 to trade at $47.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.42% to 1.1193, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.8752.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 97.14.
