Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Retail and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 9.79% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.157 at the close. Meanwhile, Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) added 7.72% or 0.044 points to end at 0.614 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was up 5.11% or 0.009 points to 0.185 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Iaso (AT:IASr), which fell 7.51% or 0.037 points to trade at 0.456 at the close. Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) declined 3.75% or 0.520 points to end at 13.360 and Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) was down 3.59% or 0.018 points to 0.483.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 50 to 43 and 26 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.03% or 0.35 to $1238.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.54% or 0.29 to hit $54.07 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.73% or 0.41 to trade at $56.22 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.0621, while EUR/GBP fell 0.46% to 0.8520.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 100.83.
