Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Food sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Halcor (AT:XAKO), which rose 10.22% or 0.076 points to trade at 0.820 at the close. Meanwhile, Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) added 7.23% or 0.3400 points to end at 5.0400 and Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) was up 5.20% or 0.033 points to 0.668 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hygeia (AT:HYGr), which fell 2.62% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.372 at the close. Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) declined 2.50% or 0.003 points to end at 0.117 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) was down 1.74% or 0.004 points to 0.226.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 53 to 44 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 7.23% or 0.3400 to 5.0400. Shares in Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.20% or 0.033 to 0.668.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.27% or 3.34 to $1245.34 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.49% or 0.23 to hit $47.09 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.34% or 0.17 to trade at $49.53 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 1.04% to 1.1634, while EUR/GBP rose 1.29% to 0.8955.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.66% at 94.02.
