Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Household, Retail and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite gained 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which rose 9.18% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.107 at the close. Meanwhile, Iaso (AT:IASr) added 9.11% or 0.051 points to end at 0.611 and Select Textile (AT:EPIr) was up 8.19% or 0.014 points to 0.185 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Creta Plastics (AT:PLAKR), which fell 5.86% or 0.310 points to trade at 4.980 at the close. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 5.00% or 0.63 points to end at 11.97 and Public Power (AT:DEHr) was down 3.21% or 0.09 points to 2.71.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 52 to 41 and 28 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.28% or 3.35 to $1199.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.87% or 0.43 to hit $48.85 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.98% or 0.51 to trade at $51.68 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.78% to 1.0658, while EUR/GBP rose 0.84% to 0.8766.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 101.51.
