Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which rose 2.55% or 0.84 points to trade at 33.84 at the close. Meanwhile, Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) added 1.21% or 0.46 points to end at 38.59 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 1.06% or 0.34 points to 32.56 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 3.85% or 0.134 points to trade at 3.344 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 3.02% or 0.18 points to end at 5.78 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was down 2.57% or 0.0940 points to 3.5680.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 86 to 79 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 3.10% or 1.47 to $45.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.61% or 1.20 to hit $44.72 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.26% or 3.35 to trade at $1293.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.48% to 1.1509, while EUR/GBP rose 0.11% to 0.7852.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.33% at 92.71.
